Charter bill to be heard in Kentucky Senate Committee
The Kentucky Senate’s Education Committee will take up Senate Bill 8, which is a comprehensive bill to create charter schools in Kentucky, tomorrow.
Without question charter schools could help with one major problem in Kentucky’s schools – the continuing and growing achievement gap between the state’s white and black students. This problem was discussed again today at the Kentucky Board of Education meeting, and a new report on the gaps is now available from BIPPS, as well. Get that by clicking on this title: Kentucky’s White Minus Black Education Achievement Gaps Continue to Worsen.
