Media coverage of 'Free to Learn' debate series

Jefferson County School Board member Linda Duncan pulled out of last night's "Free to Learn" debate at the last moment -- leaving us scrambling for someone willing to defend the position that Kentucky should not implement a parental school-choice policy.

Here’s Louisville Public Radio WFPL's coverage of this story, including my quote: "We will debate anybody and they can pick the place, time, moderator and the format. And we’ll pay for it. But we’ve never been taken up on that and that’s kind of interesting to me because if you’re solid in your position and you really believe this is a bad idea for Kentucky then why wouldn’t you want to defend that position publicly." Notice how JCPS educrats claim in this story to offer choice -- but it's their choice, not parents' decisions. Some would call it "very deceptive."
