More voices for pension reform in Kentucky
Pension reform continues to be a hot topic in Kentucky. The Bluegrass Institute has been talking about this issue for a couple of years now. There are others in the state that aren't keeping quiet any longer either. An Op-Ed in the Lexington Herald Leader written by David Adams calls for two high profile former legislators to reject pension hikes they will receive in their legislative salary due to holding a higher paying, statewide position.
This practice, called "reciprocity" was well covered in The Bluegrass Institute's recent Gold Rush report.
