“I agree.....I Remember even before I retired in 2016....when I tried to have students “discover” ....they just looked at me exhausted and said...”just tell us, we want to know what the right answer is...you know more than we do” (the way colleges prepare teachers now I wonder if that’s true ...when I had student teachers in early 2000‘s...I found as the years went on they knew less and less about their content...and less and less about “basics” but had had classes in bizzare areas.....nothing helpful to teaching their subject matter.... I too often had to teach them they had to know more than the students and sometimes had mini classes ...after awhile I refused student teachers.)”Buckeye Teacher
