In the Lexington Herald-Leader's watchdog series, Bill Estep printed a story Sunday about Kentucky taxpayers funding hundreds of part time pensions for city council members all over the state. Funding part-time pensions with taxpayer dollars is something that will only receive more attention in the months and years to come.

Governments at all levels across the nation are struggling the meet the inflated pension promises they made with taxpayer money.

Not that long ago, we pointed out that a lot of private groups are collecting publicly funded pensions in Kentucky! This is outrageous and it is time that our legislature take a hard look at how they money of hardworking Kentuckians is spent.

This problem isn't going to go away on it's own.
