Over two years ago, Tim Moore became one of several former public school superintendents flagged in a special audit by Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Adam Edelen for inappropriate fiscal activities.

The Ledger-Independent reports that Moore’s trial for alleged abuse of public trust of $10,000 but less than $100,000, and two counts of alleged theft by deception of $10,000 or more, is now finally scheduled to begin during the last two weeks of September.

In earlier action, another Edelen audit resulted in the federal conviction of the former superintendent of the Dayton Independent School District. The amounts involved in that Dayton case, around $200,000, were considerably larger than those Moore is charged with taking.
