Unbridled Learning results late again
It looks like the release data for Kentucky’s Unbridled Learning school accountability system results from the 2013-14 school term is slipping, again.
Not too long ago the Kentucky Department of Education was talking about a public release of the data in mid- to late September. Now, the earliest release expected is October 3, 2014, and that is only if no glitches are uncovered as the still apparently not final data goes through internal review.
Specific reasons for the delay have not been offered to the public.
With the final results now coming to schools well after the new term has started, it will be difficult to impossible for most of those schools to make adjustments to curriculum this year. That is the most important issue with such delays in scores, which have been a chronic problem since the first reform-oriented testing started in Kentucky way back in 1992.
