Kentucky Department of Education wants your feedback on the state school accountability system
The Kentucky Department of Education has set up a survey to get public feedback on the Unbridled Learning school accountability program. This is a chance for members of the public to provide input, so if you have issues (reports too hard to read and understand, data too hard to find, scores don’t match with other indications of school performance, or whatever), now is the time to sound off.
You can access the survey here and read the news release by clicking here.
A description of the current Unbridled Learning model is online here.
In addition, if the survey does not provide an adequate way for you to address your concerns, you can also write to the Kentucky Commissioner of Education Terry Holliday and/or the chair of the Kentucky Board of Education Roger Marcum at:
500 Mero Street, 1st Floor,
Frankfort, KY 40601
or email to Terry.Holliday@education.ky.gov or rlmarcum22@gmail.com.
I have heard complaints from a number of you over the past few years that Unbridled Learning has been in place. Now is your chance to sound off, and I encourage you to make constructive inputs. I will be doing so.
