BIPPS talks #KyRighttoWork in Paducah

The Bluegrass Institute and 80 other groups in 45 states joined together on Aug. 10-16 for National Employee Freedom Week, an effort to promote right-to-work policies in states across the nation.

BIPPS president Jim Waters discussed the effort and the release of last week’s poll showing overwhelming support for right-to-work in Kentucky and nationwide on the Leland Conway Show on Louisville’s 84WHAS and The Greg Dunker Show on WKYX, Paducah’s NewsTalk 94.3 FM:

Eighty percent of Kentuckians favor bringing a right-to-work policy to Kentucky, which reflects the support it receives in other non-right-to-work states, as well.

For instance, since the WKYX audience also includes a significant listening audience in Illinois and Missouri, Waters shared that the results of polls released in those non-right-to-work states last week also showed overwhelming support for the policy -- 84 percent in the Prairie State and 79 percent in the Show-Me State.

The coalition’s week-long campaign received national coverage, including by the Wall Street Journal.
