Common Core Comedy
Regardless of your feelings about the Common Core State Standards, you have to admit that it has given the comedy crowd some interesting material. For example:

So, is it the Common Core itself that is bad? Is it only the attempt to implement curriculum to support the Core that is causing all the commotion? Or, is it really a combined problem where vague standards left curriculum writers, teachers and test creators on their own with an inadequate idea of what the standards really intended?
One thing for sure, even one of the main writers of the Common Core Math Standards, Jason Zimba, is REALLY unhappy with the curriculum that resulted from Common Core.
Still, for comedians, Common Core is becoming a real field day. However, since the brunt of the joke is on our children, a lot of folks just aren’t laughing.
