Kentucky Energy Equation - Third video emerges demonstrating the EPA's draconian intentions

Any remaining doubt that the Environmental Protection Agency is knowingly waging a war on coal – a war that could devastate the very way of life for so many in Kentucky – was laid to rest this week after a video emerged showing yet another EPA regional administrator describing the draconian orders handed down from on high by Administrator Lisa Jackson.

In the video, EPA Region 1 Administrator Curt Spalding describes to a Yale University audience that the results of the EPA’s unilateral edicts would be “painful every step of the way” for so many communities that depend on coal.

Indeed, according to Spalding, that’s the very intention of Administrator Jackson’s sweeping new regulations: “Lisa Jackson has put forth a very powerful message to the country … if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem.”

It’s becoming painfully obvious that the current administration really does want coal communities in Kentucky and Appalachia to “just go away.”

And this is not the first such video to emerge depicting the not-so-secret intentions of EPA officials – it’s at least the third.

The first emerged from President Obama’s presidential campaign trail all the way back in 2008, a video that saw Obama explicitly call for regulations that would bankrupt coal industries from Appalachia all the way to Wyoming.

The second piece of evidence came from the mouth of former Region 6 Administrator Al Armendariz who compared the EPA’s strategy for taking down Kentucky energy to the ancient Romans’ habit of sacking Turkish dissenters via random crucifixion:

“It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go in to a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw, and they’d crucify them. And then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years.”

Armendariz went on to say that “you make examples out of people who are, in this case, not complying with the law … and you hit them as hard as you can” — to act as a “deterrent” to others.

How many more outrageous testimonies from these heartless social-engineers do we need before Gov. Beshear and his office take a bold stand against the EPA?

At least the ordinary citizens of Kentucky have had enough, and they’re going to go out and shout it when the EPA comes to town for their days of reckoning on June 5th and 7th in Frankfort and Pikeville. It’s about time.
