Lieutenant Governor candidates duke it out this evening

Tonight on KET's "Kentucky Tonight", Kentucky's lieutenant governor hopefuls will make the case for why their ticket is the one to vote for. KET is taking questions via Twitter. This is a great opportunity to ask how, if elected, these candidates will help promote free-markets, improve transparency in Kentucky government, and protect the individual rights of Kentucky's citizens.

Here are a couple of questions I thought about asking:

1 - If elected, would you strive to help make Kentucky's government the most transparent in the nation? If so, what role would you play in that process?

But really, this is the question I want to ask...

2 - Why do you think the position of Lieutenant Governor is important enough to remain a constitutional office?
