MEDIA ALERT: News Conference on Thursday, Oct. 29, to oppose proposed resataurant tax increase in Shelbyville
The Bluegrass Institute will join with concerned taxpayers and business owners at a news conference at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, outside Shelbyville City Hall, 315 S. Washington St.
This news conference will be held to express opposition to plans by the Shelbyville City Council to raise the city’s restaurant tax by a whopping 3 percent.
Restaurant owners and concerned citizens will be on hand to discuss their opposition to a tax increase.
