We should put a ban on, uh, smoking bans...

It appears as if there will be yet another attempt at a statewide smoking ban in the 2012 Kentucky General Assembly. CN2 Pure Politics is reporting that Rep. Susan Westrom has announced her intention of re-introducing legislation that will ban smoking in indoor public facilities and work places STATEWIDE.

This did not work last time.

Why is this needed? Do Kentucky citizens really need a nanny telling them what they can and cannot do? Shouldn't a business owner be able to decide on her own what she does with her property?

Frankly, the General Assembly has much bigger things to worry about during this upcoming session. Lets start with looking at the impending public pension crisis....
