Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA) says someday school money will follow the child to whatever school they choose to attend

KSBA spokesman Brad Hughes, whose organization represents interests of traditional school districts in Kentucky, recently wrote some common sense about traditional public schools and the growing movement for school choice:

“Americans like to choose and ‘choice is a new American value. How can we bring this flexibility to all public schools? The day will come when the money will go with the kid. If we are not the schools of choice, we are really going to hurt when the money goes with the kids.’”

I couldn't have said it better.

And, I hope our traditional schools get their act much better together so they can give alternative schools a real run for their money when all schools have to "run for their money."
