Larry Reed, president of the Foundation for Economic Education, will speak on Monday night at 6 p.m. at Vincenzo's, 150 South Fifth St, in downtown Louisville.

Special guest will be 84WHAS talk-show host Mandy Connell, whose show can be heard Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon.

“We are delighted to have such a great American patriot coming to the Bluegrass State to kick off a campaign that will give every freedom-loving Kentuckian the chance to support the mission of the institute as we champion free markets, individual liberty and limited and transparent government,” said Jim Waters, acting president of the Bluegrass Institute, Kentucky’s free market think tank.

The event is part of the institute's 1792-Never out of date membership campaign, celebrating Kentucky's 220th year as a commonwealth.

Reed also is the founder of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy in Michigan.
