NH - movement for right-to-work, KY - not so much

This week the New Hampshire House of Representatives passed a piece of right-to-work legislation. The bill still has some hurdles to cover before it is the law of the land but the important thing is that there is an effort to make it happen. Right-to-work laws ensure that forced payment of union dues cannot be a condition of employment in a unionized company.

In Kentucky - well we just aren't seeing as much of an effort and you really have to wonder why. States with right-to-work laws see drastically larger job growth numbers and in the current economic climate, Kentucky could sure use the help.

Fortunately, there was recently a fantastic debate held by the Lexington Forum about whether right-to-work was right for Kentucky.
