Charter School Roundtable Discussion

The first six videos in our school choice week collection were taken from a charter school debate hosted by the Bluegrass Institute and TAC4 Solutions in Louisville in early December 2013.

For our school choice week closeout, we present a discussion from a different meeting. This one began rather informally over lunch several years ago with some key national and state experts on charter schools and turned into a great overview of some of the questions that Kentuckians are asking about charter schools.

In this video, Bluegrass Institute’s president, Jim Waters, talks charter schools with two national class experts on charters: Ken Campbell, the national head of the Black Alliance for Educational Options and Tracy McDaniel, principal of the KIPP Reach College Preparatory School in Oklahoma City.
