Texas Charter Schools Enroll 85% Minority Students and they CRUSHED the 2017 NAEP

Over at the Jay P. Greene's Blog they just posted an item with the same title as this blog discussing the really outstanding performance of The Lone Star State's charter schools in the new 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) results. It makes for an interesting read, especially since Texas charters have ultra-high minority enrollment.

The last graphic in the Greene blog ranks Texas' charter performance on NAEP Grade 8 Math against results in all the other states, which pits that high minority Texas' charter population against much higher white enrollment found in most other states. Never the less, Texas' charter students ranked sixth from the top, besting all student scores from states like Washington, Wyoming and Wisconsin which have high white populations.

We could use some of that Texas charter miracle here in Kentucky.
